Bomber Pride Stickers Going on Sale

Bomber Pride Stickers will be going on sale this week.  Each player will need to sell 20 stickers at $3.00 each.  This fundraiser should raise around $1500.  Desiring a 3-day trip to Section I, players have agreed to do the work of fundraising for that weekend.  More fundraising will be announced in near future.

(Below "Bomber Pride" stickers on a vehicle, a window and computer - They peel two times so just the letters appear)

3rd Annual Wiffle Ball Tourney

Eight teams braved the chilly air to compete in the 3rd Annual Adirondack Wiffleball Tournament at Coach Clark's House.  The competition was tighter than ever.  The Winks defeated last year's Champs, Wild Thanz 1-0 for the title.

                                                  (This year's 25 participants)

Watch Dallas Stars' #72 (NYer Eric Cole) back check hard to the middle.  Identified who to take and threw a hit.  Got back to the middle and picked off pass.

Check out how Dubinsky protects puck down low and shields defender before puck arrives and this creates a great offensive play from behind the net.

Thanks for Today's Help at Lacrosse Concession

A special thanks to Bjorn, Evan and Ryan D for stepping up and helping today at the concession stand.  Parent-wise, Tricia Preston and Kevin Geesler stepped up as well.  Coach Martin and Coach Moran were also a big help.

Through today's effort we likely covered the cost of one of the two nights at our Danbury, Connecticut hotel.

I realize a lot of people were out of town but just be sure to thank the mentioned folks when you see them for getting our Section I trip off the ground.

Stanley Cup Winning Goal Breakdown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-KnXdCL0Ew

Check out the footage of the Stanley Cup Winning Goal:

Notice -->

LA Kings:     1. Starts with great d-zone coverage
                      2. Kings enter zone wide
                      3. Kings Middle Lane Drive!!
                      4. Martinez stays wide in "scoring alley"
                      5. Shot is for a rebound - POP
                      6. Easy tap in goal off fundamentally sound hockey

NY Rangers:    1. Right D is outside dots - makes him pivot and lose vision
                         2. First back-checker gets back hard but goes to the outside King
                         3. 2 Rangers pick up bad angle shooter
                         4. Overall poor recognition of the 3 Rangers

Fundamentals are key to winning and even losing.  The Kings demonstrate here how to win.  Watch this clip with these notes in mind and get your head around school and hockey coming sooner than you think.  Enjoy your August!
